Wow this past year has flown by! I can't believe it is almost 2005, with
most of 2004 now being just a part of our history!  I, for one, have not
even started my Christmas shopping! We have had a great year at Equine
Appraisals. We have sold a bunch of horses for folks, expanded our Stallion
Avenue section and have traveled a few roads doing appraisals. A huge
THANK YOU to all our customers, clients and friends, may you all have great
horses to ride in 2005!

Appraisals are becoming more and more common in the horse world. In these
changing times, it is great to have your value established for the "just in
case" scenarios.  Don't forget that just because you insure a horse for a
certain amount, and pay the premiums, you may NOT be entitled to a pay out
for that amount. I know that this seems to be a bit unfair, but if folks
could insure their horses for any amount and then claim that amount, some
horses may meet an untimely fate, with dishonest owners cashing in their
insurance policies if Dobbin goes lame or is unusable. So the moral of the
story is - have your horses appraised PRIOR to insuring them and insure them
for an accurate, supportable amount.  This reduces later problems!  We are
offering a Holiday Special on appraisals - get your horse appraised for 50% off
the regular price. For the months of January and February, book your
appraisal for only $150.00 per horse (regular price $300.00 per horse).
Multiple horse discounts may apply; reasonable expenses outside Grey/Bruce

Back at the Ranch

Here at Grenfell Farm, we have been busy! We have one Quarter Horse mare
foaling this year. She was bred to our own Dun Stallion - Poco Docs
Heartbreaker, "Tex".  We sold Tex this year, and really miss him, but glad
to be having one of his babies this year. Check out our Broodmares page, we
will keep you updated on this baby's birth! Life here is very exciting, our
two Grandsons, age 2 and 3 are chomping on the bit for Christmas to begin. I
can't wait until they open their gifts this year, one pony saddle and one
set of chaps coming right up! Call and stop by if you are in our area, the
coffee is on. We wish you and yours a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New
Year.
